The Drumheller Society for Recovery is a group of people concerned with the recovery of chemical dependence and /or alcohol. The idea of a recovery house was originated in 1986 by two Drumheller residents (one a recovering alcoholic and the other a social worker) while they were discussing the plight of a third who was in need of such support not available in Drumheller. On August 8, 1990 Grace House accepted its first residents from Renfrew Recovery Center in Calgary.
Our mission is to help men aged 25 and older struggling with substance abuse by providing a 90-day residential treatment program that creates a safe and supportive environment while focusing on physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. We strive to counsel, educate, and empower men to break the cycle of addiction and begin a journey toward lasting recovery.
The Drumheller Society for Recovery (DSFR) believes that addiction to alcohol or drugs is a chronic and progressive disorder and that those who are addicted can attain life-long sobriety through active participation in a process of recovery.
Our vision is to create a safe and healthy environment, empowering men to live drug- and alcohol-free lives through an individualized 90-day treatment plan. We strive to provide quality care while promoting resilience, dignity, and overall well-being.

Grace House is an Alberta Health Services licensed facility.
Grace House offers a 90 day residential recovery program for men addicted to alcohol and/or drugs.
The program is based on the 12 Steps of Narcotics Anonymous (NA) and basic life skills: showing the residents how the two, in combination can help lead to a clean, sober life.
Residents participate in group sessions during the morning, are scheduled for regular in house one-on-one sessions during the afternoon and are required to attend 7 self help support meetings per week (AA, CA, NA) in the evenings.
Residents also participate in the Odd Job Squad which is considered a vital component in their recovery. They become a member of the Grace House Team, providing valuable services to community members.

Grace House is a Recovery Home for 12 men, with shared accommodation . Grace House serves males aged 25 and older, who struggle with alcohol or drug addiction and want to live a life of recovery.
